Project overview
Jumbo Mall is a significant retail development currently under construction in Emalahleni (Witbank), Mpumalanga. EP-Exec is managing all stakeholder engagement, community facilitation and verified local inclusion systems for the development. The EP-Exec Accredit platform is operational on site with real-time worker intake and local spend tracking active throughout the construction programme.
Emalahleni is a significant economic hub historically driven by the mining sector. Large retail developments here require careful navigation of established community structures and high local employment expectations. EP-Exec conducted thorough pre-construction community engagement, established the Social Contract with all affected structures, and maintains continuous on-site presence to manage community relations and ensure verified compliance throughout the build.
